I was out earlier on the beach and managed to forget to open the bail arm on my reel before belting the lead out on my third cast.

Needless to say the lead didn't go far, but the struts connecting the plastic line skirt to the spindle (under the spool) did.

The reel still functions but I'm looking for a replacement part (13818).

Does anyone know where I can get one on-line?

A bite on the last cast as I was about to wind in was the only action I had apart from the reel disintegration.

    Nice weather though

Give Russ at blakdog tackle a shout, you can contact him at WSF or his website.

BlakDogTackle.com. Online suppliers of sea fishing tackle.

Unlucky with the reel though mate, Mike(thunderpants) on here had a problem with his bail arm coming off over the weekend, he got sorted by shimano so 2 options for ya.

Yeah my replacement bail arm arrived next morning and it was easy to fit. I got it from the Shimano service place in Swansea. Here is the website link Shimano Service Centre - Shimano Felindre Servicing They do repairs too so you can send them your reel if you don't fancy tackling it yourself.

Nice one wonmorehoy, I'm sending my exage back for a replacement part now the lure seasons over. For some reason the line came off the roller and burned into the plastic/rubber part of the bail arm, can't be normal that.

Ordered the part yesterday morning from Felindre Servicing.

Arrived in the post this morning.

              Good service by any standard.
