    Does anyone have or know how to get to it and where you can park? Was on amble pier today and fancy trying from that side. Cheers

    hello mate. Drive through Warkworth ( north bound) once you have crossed the river take a sharp turn right then drive up the hill. Keep going till you come to a car park with toilet block. Walk down to Warkworth beach ( good for flounder on a short cast and probably a better shot than the pier). you then have to walk along the beach to the pier, canny walk, Hope this helps.

      Cheers mate, know which car park you mean thats a canny hike that i'm not the fittest prob pass out when I get there lol

      Do you know if Walkworth beach fishes during the day in winter?

        yes mate, had flounders in winter time. like i say, very close in, about 10 yards

                Some good bags of flats come from the beach there's been lots of opens won from it over the years. Both crab and rag tipped with mackerel fish well casting into the gullies and just behind the sand banks couple of hour ethier side of low, vary your cast till you find the right distance can be anything from 10yd plop to 30/40yd lob
