    Low tide up.
I use a rotton bottom system as it can be abit snaggy.
Cast up to 60yards that's it.

Agree flood normaly best, short lobs with rotten bottoms......dont rule out the ebb as the fish come on the feed an hour or two after high water as well especially after a bit movement

I like a short lob on the flood with a pulley Pennel. Putting a bit a distance onto your cast lands you into quite heavy ground I my opinion.

when i used to fish this mark i like it in a dying south easterly sea, prefered months dec/jan and feb.

bottom very snaggy grip leads wth long wires helped tackle losses and 60 yard cast was all that was needed.

most baits will catch here if fish are there and dont underestimate mussle here.

this shot does produce big fish i can remember one of 23lb yrs back plus i think there was a double last year maybe a few.

it can be dangerous at the barrier first signs of a wave coming over i normaly move inshore and casting into the bay produces fish also.

my favourite time for barrier fishing is 1hr off the top two hrs on the drop very first of ebb is the time i like for the big one to come along.
did you know panel pins comes in diff sizes ?
