Before you rush out and buy a century bb consider the length. For pendulum casting you will struggle with too long a rod. 12ft6- 13 ft from tip to hand is about right for most. If your a powerful guy or top caster then you may handle a longer rod. Century bb is a very nice rod but best suited to otg or aerialised ground casts. A zzippy m4 EVO whilst being a capable tourney rod makes a good rod to learn on and a rod you can grow int rather than having to upgrade straightaway. It also makes a good rod for the NE coast handling 6oz and mixed ground..

I fish with a pair of tt match rods and love them, great bite detection they stand up well in the wind and cast well be it off the ground, overhead thump or pendulum.

Tip tornado super match is a great lighter rod for clean to mixed as it also had plenty in the butt when the power is need. Nice soft tip for bit detection from even the smallest fish. I have an SS and wouldn't even consider it for clean ground. Bite detection is nowhere near the ttsm I have.

Airbourne, I bought a CME off Davey M and have to say I love it. Had an Apollo but the CME is well worth its money. Dont know what the fella above is on about, bite detection is decent and its not a heavy rod at all. I normally only use an overhead thump but even then the rod is more than capable of 100m+.

You wont be disappointed. It hasn't got the backbone for proper rock / heavy fishing but have used it on the piers and beach etc and its spot on.
