    Hi, can anyone point me in the right direction, looking for coastal marks around the above and oban. Up there in a week or so but hearing its not fishing too well, so looking at maybe hitting the coast instead. Can't find much about the area except for the Loch itself.....help please

      The trouble with Etive at this time of year is the crabs.
      It can be solid with them and even the biggest of baits are gone in 5 minutes.
      On the open shore marks you will have trouble getting through the numorous LSD,s.
      Loch Leven further north is canny for Thornies,mostly small ones though.
      Go up the north shore to the fish restaurant and the wooden pier in front fishes for them on the flood tide.
      Also the point to the left of here is good on the flood.
      Sandeel.macky and squid are the top baits anywhere up there.
