  • Demolished!!!

    hi all
was down at the green door today with my daughter to see if anyone
    was down there
to my supprise the old derilict building that the mark gets its name from
    was gone/flattened/ceased to be
its all cordened off now with only half the space to fish there was before
iknow the barriers will come down when all the ruble is cleared but im concerned
with any building waste going over the side as theres tyres there(mite be coseekers)
i hope when its all cleared away they put a barrier up along the river side but i think not most probabley going to be a new development with NO FISHING
signs up after a short while
just thought you would like to know thats all
used to be a smashing little scraching mark hopefully it still will be

Bloody hell mate, Ive just been down.

I've never fished that mark tho, I normally go passed BEL valves next to the Byker regeneration centre.

I bet there a a block of flats (poncy apartments) up in no time, and the area that you can fish there will probably be car parking.

    See ya tomorrow mate.

    Cheers,

    Lee

Go along bottom road and when you get to the lights at British engines turn down towards the river, the mark is straight in front of you.

              Cheers,

              Lee

yes exactly what lee says just head down as though you where going to drive off into river plus there will be the metal barriers there or a newly clean bit
of ground that looks out of place
smashing little mark its chocker block of flatties and eels() beacause
of the sewage oulet there so sometimes you catch the odd wet wipe and its a bit pully at times! the marks that
small theres only enough room for 2-3 anglers at at push its at one of the
narrower parts of the river so a gentle flick is enough to get you in the action theres 3 boats always moored on the felling side directly opposite so thats another visual aide to find it aswell plus it has the navy facility on its right hand side!
