there was plenty macky there on this afternoons flood tide, loads of coalies (smallish) but very few launce (the main reason i was down was for the launce) may try first light tomorrow if i can drag myself out of bed.
Just got back from shields and it looks like the mackerel have moved off again. There was a few caught but not as many as reported, i would say more anglers than mackerel caught in the pier.
Mind there was alot of small colie and i lost count of the sandeel, at one point i stopped fishing because as soon as your rig hit the water you had 2-3-4-5 sandeels on lol.
Just been looking out my back window and about 250 - 300yards (approx - i am about half a mile away after all LOL ) off the end of So- Shields pier there is HUNDREDS of birds diving into the Sea - where there is birds diving there is Bonk eels and where there is bonk eels there is Makerel - and maybe a Bass following the lot who knows - might just get the bike out and get along on Weds afternoon
You might as well, if i was not on nightshift this week i would head down for first light and have a few hours fishing.Only got 8 mackerel from the shore so far this year and 2 off the boats lol.
