Canny idea Phil, might even get some settled weather next year and pull out quite a few fish for a change.

Its a working idea at the moment but something along the lines of, each angler would be given a unique tag on say a Friday night, fish all weekend, take a picture of you catch including the lure tag and a measure all pictures to be emailed to myself by midnight on the Sunday of the same weekend. Points system something like you can submit your 3 biggest of any spices, this will not only stop everyone bagging up on mackerel but also encorage people to diversify a bit, point will be on total length submitted. Maybe even make it a cash match, shore only no boundaries, might be able to sort out a 'buddy system' for the less experienced or those without cars
Sounds like an interesting idea. If I could get the time (and permission lol) to fish all weekend that would be great but it is unlikely If it was a one day comp I would be up for it though.

Yeah a one day blast would be the best idea I think.... Phil wont be allowed out of the house for more than a few hours anyway

              300th post!!! WOO HOO!! lol.

How about, 3 fish only to score.... points for different species depending on how rare they are or how hard to catch.... eg: Bass 50 points, Mackeral 5 points, Coley 10 points, Pollock 15 points....... you get the idea.

You can submit any 3 fish... even maccy... but with the points system it will encourage people to try and hook and hunt different species...

Catch and release / email photos etc all the same.....

Yeah species points sounds canny or score by total fish length which is easy to show in the pics with a measure alongside. Or both

Not sure about the catch and release bit - if I get a big pollack or bass I'll not be chucking it back it will be coming home with me

This 1 day thing sounds cracking aswell as the points system for different spieces. Am bang up for that!
