The night was dark with a cold chill in the air. Stepping on to the rocks the nerves started to work over time. The on and off shimmer of light reflecting on the calm sea from the light house was the only relief from the pitch black. the ghostly silence seemed to enlarge my senses. As I walked down towards the waters edge I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. As I turned to look what it was it vanished behind a large rock. Are had it vanished was it me had I imagined it. My mind was working over time. Was it playing tricks on me. I carried on toward the water trying to put it to the back of my mind telling myself not to be so stupid. As we got to the waters edge the lapping water against the rocks seemed to have a calming affect on me so I settled down and set up for the nights fishing. After a couple of hours with not much happening I started to fall asleep. As my eyes were about to close there was a loud strange noise behind me. I turned around and there it was bearing down on me. I froze I could not move it was only meters away from me.
