Sprats off Blyth Pier

Hey folks.. not been around much and haven\'t done a lot of fishing lately...

Had a walk along Blyth pier on Sunday evening, took the spinning rod on the off chance anything was about. Load of silver flashes in the shallows, could see plenty of bait fish but no sign of anything chasing them. Spoke to a couple of lads who said there\'d been the odd mackeral caught according to the kids. Certainly plenty for them to be feeding on.

I\'ve been along Cambois pier a couple of times in the last few weeks no mackeral as yet just flatties and the odd codling, last time (last Tuesday) my brother was trying with the daylights for most of our time there and nothing apart from the odd small coalie.
