Just walked the dog along Blyth pier and it's disgusting ! Bags of crap, beer cans fishing line all over the place ! Have abit of pride to where you fish you mongs ! Roll on winters when these oxygen thieves hibernate during the dark cold months ...
I think you may be wasting your time typing that. The people who foul the place up like that are not likely to be visiting a fishing forum. Apart from to say "wens the makki in????????"
People who live in glass houses have to answer the door.
Fished the middleton, hartlepool the other week, the smell was unreal, knee deep rubbish line, bags, cans, glass, ****, ****, couldn't get near the wall without kicking rubbish out of the way...the drain holes blocked so standing water....

Yes your right and I agree with you,it makes me sick to see our piers and beaches covered in anglers discards.
Problem is it's not just kids rubbishing it's older anglers as well.
But how do you stop it,I don't know.
many a time i have picked others rubbish up on my local pier and bagged it where i am fishing even tied up and took it off and put in the nearest bin ,some piers have bins on and yet still a mess
I live in a small rural village called Langley park, its a ex mining village and a nice place to live(in my opinion)
This year I've noticed a crowd of people walking thru the village picking up litter, this happens quite regular sometimes 3 or four times a week.
These people even walk out of the village along a green belt some one and half miles filling black bags with rubbish.
Speaking to them they are all local working people trying to keep there village clean.
And yes I do my bit outside my house and clean up the grass area along the road.
There approach to litter is "we cant stop them but we can beat them"
Harry, those people are convicts on community service! haha.
Seriously though, no matter how many posts are put on here it will never change coz the guys on here tend to be the responsible ones. I think most of us have picked up a bagful of other peoples crap at some point but dont worry... the weather will soon be changing and the summer litter louts will hibernate again and we can have our nice piers and beachs back to ourselves

That's why i never bother with blyth pier anytime of the year..
