      Pulley rig, usually pennel set-up

With GOOD RELIABLE hooks such as sakuma manta's/phantoms etc

The worst thing you can do is skimp on your terminal tackle, especially the hooks

Remember snood/hook length needs to be strong! 50-80lbs is usually best

I use mine with a snood around 3ft long...

Just avoid crimps! They WILL slide down if you get a good cod on, and skin your trace body.
Ok for flatties/ whiting crap for cod.
Pennel pully with big manta extras, or my favorite is a flapper pennel using a three way swivel 80- 100lb snood.
        Stay safe!
        Enjoy your fishing!
        Take your rubbish home!

pulley pennel with decent hooks sakumas as mentioned or varivas big mouth or big mouth extra just as strong as sakuma but slightly cheaper.

this year on the beach i will also be using a portsmouth loop rig.

on my pulleys 60-80lb straight through no crimps.
