    any of you fellas heard of a zziplex sst not a hst ?.if so what sort of action has it got
    .is it a tournament rod ?or can it be used for our coastline .

          Bought it used (but in imaculate condition) off Beachcaster for around £180. It\'s a great rod and it\'s deffinately not for sale.

            very good rod mike and cant wait to have a flick with it !!!! thanks for the info on the zippy ,trouble is they have made so many different models over the years ,it all gets a wee bit confusing ,i wouldnt say no to the old primo ,dont think they make them anymore or the fireblade by century

              hi ollie, zziplex sst - £279 blank summerlands £390 made up, gerrys of morcambe £360 made up , got a 14ft one myself and a 13ft version, i have never seen a zzipioe break, sst poerpointed butt powerpointed tip latest version from terry smooth but powerful action . thers a one on ebay at the moment, they are kinder than hst but more powerful than 4500 great alrounder, john

                Hi John,Hows things me ole mate ,thanks for the tips on the sst ,so would you recommend it as a rough ground rod for winter fishing ?
                i wouldn,t mind my old longbeach back but i expect gogs wouldn,t let me have it ...........lol ....sold it to him when we went to australia!!!

                    Hi Ollie welcome back m8,sorry to hear things didnt work out in aus.
                    if you want your longbeach back m8 i will let you have it as i still prefer my appollo for the rough stuff and i have unlimited use of my mates zziplex federation for dogs/flats etc.

                          The SST is the latest rod from the Zziplex stable its more for Tournament casting I beleive stiff.

                            hi i loaned my 13ft sst to my friend who uses a hst for heavy ground and uses a 4500 for clean beaches he says it falls in the middle,one of my oither mates has cast a 4500 260yds its all down to opions ,theres not many zzipies i have not had and i would the rate the sst as 7 out of ten for stiffness the zziplex primo ft i would rate ten out of ten john

                              what zziplex would you recommend for rough ground blastman as my tz500 is getting a bit tatty,well a lot tatty.
