  • Portpatrick trip, LB&SB SAC

Had a good weekend over in Scotland. We had 8 species in total, dogs, pollack, coalies, wrasse, gurnard, rays, whiting and codling.

We fished a match on the Saturday for the Whithorn Trophy, also known as the Gay Fest Trophy ( long story involving gay golfers). results were as follows:

    1. Paul Batey, 26 dogfish ( 52lb estimated weight)
    2. Glen Craggs, 19 dogfish ( 38lb est.)
    3. Terry Brennan 10 dogfish, 2 pollack ( 22lb est)

All came from the Mull of Galloway and all were returned alive.

In between the fishing we had a good drink in the bars and got absolutely p####d. As usual the weekend goes too quickly and now looking forward to our autumn trip.

Klingon had to stay at home to watch Auntie Wainrights shop for him. Anyway, all he catches nowadays is carp, no good at doggy snatching......waiting for a bite here!

Cheers all. Yes Bob, but I think she had a webcam on him.
I forgot to mention that the heaviest fish was a 2lb 4oz pollack by Paul Lockett caught in front of the hotel.

Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.
