I fished the pier yesterday for four hours and only saw three mackeral landed (not by me) so there's not many about this weekend but the season still has a couple of months to go so they will be back. Best after a few days of warm dry weather. The recent rain has got the water on the river side pretty brown and full of floaters but the seaward side is fairly clear so best to concentrate your fishing there.
