Nice bit of kit for the piers and beaches and quite capable of putting a lead a long way out, bite detection excellent, all of the tip tornados are quality fishing rods

Great rod I'd liken it to a beefier bass rod in power but still very slim blank lovely tip for bite detection and cuts through the wind holds well in the tide depending on the line used 15lb 0.35 max something like 6500 or 7ht I would say. Tip bends nicely to the mid section of the tip then firms up towards the lower barrel towards the joint. Butt section has a nice amount of give in it.

I would say 135 grams which is about 4 3/4 ounces plus bait max not to overload so you can wind it up in the cast and get good distances. I know lads which chuck a 5 plus bait like.

I used mine on the rubble at shields which requires a good chuck and a fast retrieve and had coalies close to 2lb on it.

There's a guy on another forum uses them in the shetlands, as well as c3ld. He does really well with them, catches some very nice fish, mostly cod into the high teens and thornback ray into double figures as well. From what I gather he chucks some pretty meaty bait with them too, wholes sides of mackeral and whole herring into mixed ground.
                    Regards Nicky.
