    wanting to go owt this weekend with the kids 1st time but i want to go somewhere close and easy to fish aye know blyth pier is ok but fancie some where maybe they could caught some fish cheers

    Go down the Tyne behind copthorne hotel will get fish there and it's safe for kids

          Thats true davy you can fish all the way down from the B.A. Carpark down to the quayside and abit further on

            The river wasbeck cuople of hours either side of high water should be plenty of flatty's this time of year

                General gist of this thread mate is too try one of the river marks.... most are pretty clean bottom and should hold flattys and smaller stuff at the minute...
