EU'S 'DESPERATE' bid to grab UK fish stocks under Brexit revealed | UK | News | Express.co.uk

Please bear this article in mind when you vote in the future.
If we want to preserve our fish stocks and hope to increase our catches in the future there is only UKIP who will represent our fishing community.
2016/17 has to be one of the worst winter fishing seasons ever for shore anglers.
Labour when David Milliband was an MP wanted to introduce a sea fishing licence and we can't trust the Conservatives to represent local fishing communities.
There is only one way to improve this, vote UKIP.

Please do your research and vote to help all fisher folk in the country.

    Cheers, Mick.

Upon withdrawal, the CFP will cease to apply automatically, meaning the UK will be free to manage her own waters with no historical rights to honour.

The EU having agreed to this “clean sheet” as per the terms of Article 50, Section 3 – “the treaties shall cease to apply”.

The UK will return to being an independent coastal state subject to international law on fisheries (UNCLOS 3) just like Faroe, Norway and Iceland

UNCLOS 3 clearly states, in Article 61, that a coastal state has sovereignty over and discretion to manage its own waters and all fisheries resources therein.

As for voting, well never trust a politician. They are all full o ****e.
Leave the E.U save our NHS, mmmmm pack of lies. Just look at whats going on with the NHS.

No matter how you vote, us little people get shafted.
They are all ****s, just a matter of what **** you want up ya.
uKIP aint the top o my list.

UKIP have been long time vocal supports of our fishing industry as a whole; that includes leisure fishing and us shore anglers.
If fishings all you care about when voting, then sure – UKIPs probably your political party.

As for Brexit, theres no way the EU will retain/share any rights to Britain’s waters upon Article 50 being set in motion. This bile is just them trying to grab as many of the spoils as possible. There would have to be specific, targeted and agreed legislation / agreement for them to retain any rights whatsoever to Britain’s fishing grounds.

I’d have to echo Tweedy’s sentiments re; politics in general.
I work for the Gov and often I find that I must choose between the lesser of two evils…

Mick I think you need to take your own advice and do some research - which, by the way, should not include the Daily Express!!

PS if you want to vote for a party that has a leader who claimed, in two separate posts, (in his name, on his own website), that he had "lost close personal friends at the Hillsborough disaster." then had to admit it was a lie, but "he hadn't seen the posts" (on his own website). Or a party that had Farage as leader - a man who has taken £85,000 per annum for the last 18 years and £1 million in the last 5 years in expenses from an organisation he purports to despise and wants abolished, then you go right ahead!!

unfortunately you have to go with one of them, and they will all spin a pack of lies. After initiating article 50 can you honestly see the frogs and Spaniards staying out of our waters, dream on. They will carry on as if nothing has happened, and what will our gov't do? ?Complain in the most strongest terms no doubt. Bugger all in other words

British fishermen have already sold over 50% of the UK quota to foreign vessels, so they will continue to fish in our waters. Should they have been able to do this? It is UK's quota and I believe they should not have been allowed to sell our fish quotas for personal gain, but they did and made millions of pounds doing so and people should remember that before they bleat about the "frogs and Spanish!"

                        Forced is the wrong word...
Might have been better phased; left with little choice

Anyway don't worry about Brexit, I see this morning Tony Blair is going to stop it all

I'd be ecstatic to sell my business for millions of pounds! I do worry about Brexit, but Tony Blair, (war criminal), we are all doomed now for sure!

And don't get me started on Trump - I'm so glad I am not a youngster trying to start out in life!

Forced by the ways of pushing them into catch size quota's that only apply to British fishermen and having to throw away by-catch forced into tying up for a number of days per year when the fishing is good then trying to go a make up for lost time when times fall hard forced into taking low prices for fish as there is to much fish from foreign boats flooding the markets the list go's could on this comes from experiences that I have seen from when I used to fish commercially ---some things might have changed now ? but all in all we are going to be shafted by the government only time will tell Is the sea over fished? YES but not buy the British

The traitors* would not compensate them nor buy their licenses off them. The traitors* should have bought the licenses and torn them up ...

traitors*? = The UK government = Thatcher and Co at the time.
