                    Hi Gary,
I've looked through this months (sept) TSF and never came across the story, never mind seeing its a catch of the month. Unless the copy i got had a few pages missing.

For an update, I've received an email from the BRFC confirming that all the paperwork and photos i sent them have all been approved by the committee. Im now just waiting for the Identifier fella from the committee to approve its identity then they'll get straight in touch with us.
As soon as i find out i'll let you's know.

And cheers Trev, i hope it is correct and he gets a nice little 'Goody Bag'.

Hi mate, I sent it to the Young Rods comp in the Sea Angler, through Paul Fenech. I was too late to enter for this month, so it will be in either Octobers edition or Novembers. Bit of luck it might be better if it is Novembers edition, then hopefully it might be all sorted with the BRFC.

It's the October edition (delivered today) page 12 says " Morgan sets a record"
And under his picture it says "Penn winner"

It's also mentioned on page 84 within an article about north east rare catches.

So plenty of recognition for the lad.

                              • Nearly there.

Just received an email to comfirm that Morgans fish has completed the approval of identification, weight, etc by the BRFC and now goes to the committees Full Meeting in December where it will be listed as a new 'British Record' for a Greater Forkbeard.
I'd like to thank eveyone who has helped us from the first day he brought it home, because we didn't have a clue what he'd caught.
                                Cheers
                                Steve.
