    hi all just wondering if sum one can give me a idea when the cod come in just av just learning i went down seaham pier the otherday and got loads of grief of the lads macky bashing as i was pratice casting with me rod in a safe manner tho so results came to going on the field near my home and carnt be bothered with the grief off ppl just coz am casting with just a plain lead on so just wondering if sum one can give me an idea when the cods in so i can go nd enjoy fishing nd the no goons on the pier

    what do you expect could you not have found a safer place futher down the pier just common sense.

          best off going somewhere away from everyone when learning to cast mate,sandy beach at low water spot on,just you gonna spoil peoples fishing and put people at risk if your lead goes off course,weve all been there mate.anyway,i think mid october prime time for cod,you might pick them off before.

            they think they own the piers this time of year, put some daylight`s on with your clean lead, stay your safe distance and you can cast all day long,

            they`l just think your 1 of them........!

              Got to agree with Davey, stick some daylites on and you have plenty of practice casting aswell as chance of a few fish to bag. Remember to always use a shockleader 10lb per 1 ounce of lead, tight lines mate.
