  • Reel Seat

I want to move the reel seat on one of my rods. I\'m pretty sure its fixed using araldite - is it best just to cut it off?

if it is araldite and its not been over done, some heat might soften it enough to get it moving, gan canny with the heat gun though!

As mark says heat, boil the kettle and pour it over, I used to fix mine that way with araldite but had to cut it off when refurbishing the rod heat wouldnt budge it.

if you are going to cut it..cut it in a spiral way, then prize it open with a screw driver, what size of reel seat do you want, i have a penn adjustable on that was on my copperhead, dont like them, rod as well?
