on the picture I took the other day you can see the fittings where that "lighthouse" was bolted down, and also those two wooden "beams" at the very end of the pier. So its broken off pretty much just on the edge of where the "lighthouse" foundations are?

Fishing about 70 years ago, south pier!

Thanks for that mate. Excellent pics. That lighthouse on the south pier is a right old obstruction when chucking like, clipped it a few times and me lead marks on it Haven't fished it for years for that very reason.
Looking at the pics it was a canny busy place back then.

it`s funny how all the older lads can tell how much better the fishing was in them days.

just shows how everything has been overfished/fished out.
