As you drive down the road to the bay and get to the end you have several choices you can either go to the fresh water outlet which will give a stock of flouderand plaice.Approx 500 yds to the right you will find an old concrete block house park on road next to this a walk directly down on to shore this spot fishes well for cod in winter in summer gennerally just flattys caught here this is a low water mark.If you drive all the way to the end of the road where the barrier for the country park is go down the steps to the left approx 100 yds will throw up bass, plaice flounder and cod in winter this spot will fish both high water and low water.200-300 yds to the right throws up the same species but better success is had at low water.Further alond to the right is the old s**t pipe this spot will throw up all sorts there have been reports of dover sole and with along enough cast skate dont know how reliable these tales are but can always hope this is another low water mark.Further on to the right still is chevington burn will provide turbot and other flat fish species must be to the right of fresh water care must be taken here as when holes turn up they just drop off this is mainly a low water mark.
If you go left from the end of the road entering the bay drive to the car park fish anywhere between Hadston Carrs and Monkey Island DO NOT BLAST IT OUT there is a kelp barrier running between these two rocks it is often visable at really low tides once again this is a low water mark species often caught here rock codling bass eels flouder plaice a real mixed bag as rocks and kelp providing cover and food for fish species.
This is my first post hope it helps, also hope it doesn't attract any numptys to my beach.
P.s If you go near the rock marks take extreme care as with all the fresh water of late it is turning the sand into a more silty composition and some areas will suck you in always check before you step.
