I'd go for a penn 525mag,you can pick up some minters second hand, also the slosh 20 and 30 are good solid reels, but for 100 notes you should get something decent, worth lookin in sales section or ebay.

I looked at the fathom but are they any good as a beach reel, I read they were more a light boat rod and I need something to bring my casting on.
        Cheers.

Penn Fathom 15 ok for beach. I got 2 last season for mixed ground. no mags but centrifugal brakes. I have one block in and its safe, nice all round reel.

I recently bought the Akios 656CTM for under £100. It's a great reel and the build is solid very reliable . For my back up reel its brill and good for casting.

Go for a 525 mag. You'll get a mint second hand one for £80. Much better than buying a new reel worth £100. Great for casting and bringing fish in

For 200 for the pair, you could get a very good condition second hand century and slosh 20.
