a friend of mine from seaham took his eliminater to norway last march and it was no prob at all swing big fish in with it.

as for having to be tournie caster to use one, why it all depends how far you want to put bait or baits.

eliminater just not for me but plenty like them its up to the individual what they like.

breakages i hav,nt heard of an eliminter breaking and they have been out a while now.
did you know panel pins comes in diff sizes ?

i used to prefer the eliminator, as it allows more room for error i guess in a cast. (to the TTR)

im a firm believer that the ttr is capable of bigger casts.

and when bullying fish through snags the ttr holds better .

the eliminator also rattles in the wind as the ttr doesnt which nee one has mentioned.

gary wreckons the new century rod coming out very shortly will take over. think its called the ecscalibur, a few versions available with the TT being the daddy.
recovery meant to be unbeatable. jay lee tested one available on youtube

I would have a cast of a ttr 1st mate much more friendly to cast than the e1000 and they have a better bite detection beter all round rod
