          That's a cracking whipping and under whipping job it looks as good as any I've seen from any rod builder.cant wait to see what his high building looks like he's took to rod building like a duck to water.

            threads upon threads,great craic,mr fish fingers ive got the rod thompson axellerator blank as you suggested for the backcaster conversion for use with the scarboro reel,the lad can make it his first project if you supervise it,im up there at the end of july,i can drop it off, and take as much time as you need if the lad wants to take it on,will give you the wedge up front

                            If I was to be constructive i would say the whippings don't need to be quite so long, they are only for holding the foot of the ring in place and extra whipping adds extra weight.

                            A bit of butchers tape does the job for me!
                            Typical coming from a caster i presume!

                            What a of load of tripe apart from the first bit about the high build being the difficult part.
