The lads very passionate about his fishing, wanting to set up a website for his blog tells you that. I'll sit on the fence about the ttld and 7ht. I've got both, but haven't fished rough ground with them. As for spelling........ i know a lot of very intelligent people who can't spell to save their lives, but they get along quite fine. Just give the kid a break. Am i right in thinking he's only 15 years old, or is his blog dated?

Some right hard men on here isn't there, picking on the youngin all the time. Some of you need the spit slapped clean out of your mouths !
And people say this is a friendly site, what a laugh its full of elitest knob heads !
Carry on doing what your doing stevie lad and enjoy it. Take no notice what so ever of what some of these idiots say.
Rant overRegards Nicky.
Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

I am loathe to post this, but I have been reading these sort of posts now for some time, with increasing frustration and anger.
All too often we read threads bemoaning the attitude and behaviour of young people when they are fishing for Mackerel, showing little respect for others, or hanging around street corners, drinking and being abusive.
These threads have merit of course, as some young people do indeed indulge in these activities. However they are a small minority and should be seen us such.
What I find shameful is, when a young man takes the time to create a website, which 99% of the adults on here could only dream of creating, goes out fishing, writes about it on his blog, is proud of what he is doing and perfectly reasonably hopes for positive comments and encouragement to continue in his hobby, is derided on a public forum by adults who think they are somehow superior.
These adults think they are so clever to have picked up on the young lad's spelling mistakes because they have access to "spellcheck" The beautiful irony is that they have no access to a similar "grammar check" so have no inkling of the mistakes they make when posting and the fools they are making of themselves.
They also have no understanding of the reasons for some people being poor at spelling, or who use a word in the wrong context such as deer instead of dear, or vain instead of vein. If they did, they might be less inclined to mock. As a professional in the field of literacy for young people and adults, I do.
These people need to take a long, hard look at themselves.
Finally Chris, these posts from certain adults are bullying, plain and simple and should be condemned at every opportunity.
