Just arrived back in Whitley Bay about an hour ago from Drummore. Bass fishing a bit slow on the Luce Bay side as the water still a bit on the cold side. Smoothounds and doggies off the shore though.

Pollack up to 6lb on the west side of the Mull. Hope to be heading back over for an extended stay in a week or so :-)

Good luck lads, the weather is ***** at the mo although we haven't had the torrential rain that was forecast for today.........yet

I was at the isle of whithorn yesterday testing out some new tackle. The weatherman said no wind but there was a 20-30mph westerly gusting lol and the tide was ripping past the point so I headed down the west side and cast towards the solway with a sliver wedge hoping for a mackie or two for bait. The water was minging with them. I changed to a float set up with belly strips of macky and in two chucks had two pollock about 2.5lb each before it went quiet at the top of the tide
          Regards, Graham
