John (blastman), Yep....born & bred in Shields and still live here.

I had a heavier Plaice from the pier last year, but from a little way further up.......\"The Rail End\" - fishing the seaward side, but I honestly can\'t remember just how heavy it was. Never been one for keeping a note (mentally or otherwise) of catches....I just fish for the day (or the night, usually).

Fishing the harbour side, anywhere from the Brigade Hut up to the gate is pretty clean ground and can give good results.

Can\'t say as I do, John. I\'ve only been fishing for the past 5 years.

Met Alan Chapman once (a couple of years ago) when I was fishing just South of Souter Lighthouse.......nice bloke.

Yes John.....\"White Rock\", if I remember rightly, is the mark where Alan got the beast from.
We used to have a photo of him with the fish on the old NESA homepage (the format prior to this one).

Hi Blastman. I know Geordie Stobbs from when Dave Bolam had Tennicks, but like you never heard from him for ages. Dave Bolam has his own boat - Jeff from this forum fishes with him regularly, I try to get out with him when I can during the summer
