  • south shields marks to learn on?

New to NESA so hi yawl and new to shore fishing. Two of us got tackled up with spinning and beach casting gear recently so now need to find the right marks.

Any pointers on quiet areas where we can make a start without getting under the feet of the vets would be good.

If you see us out n about say hi we don't bite. You cant miss us coz I'm a six foot spam head with a 6" dint on my head and my fishing partner is a skinny lass with boggly eyeballs that wouldn't be out of place on a popped wrasse

    tight lines and loose minds.

I used to be confused but now I'm not so sure.

                      Hi
Welcome to NESA, have a look at Sea fishing Sea Angling Resource click the north east on the left hand side, there is a sticky about the seventh down. Its a great wright up on South Sheilds pier marks by Medlar.

That's the Groyne mate and it's very snaggy around there. If I was you I would fish the Tyne with your beachcaster and some bait. Try the wooden platform known as Cobles Landings along from the ferry landing or the ends of the old Brighams dry dock a bit further along. You never get snagged at those. If you want to use your spinning rod try the pier between the blocks and the end.

Great pointer fishygone many thanks. Thunderpants you really are the dogs dooo dahs! Only wish I'd seen your post coz I fished the pinky last night to try out the tackle and learnt the hard way :-) Thanks for the heads up on the other venues I'll b looking at em reel soon m8. You guys were probably amongst the thirty or so on the pier looking over to the pinky thing thinking....(what a $2*t or summit else not repeatable).... and rightly so me thinks although it was good lead chucking practice without kiling anyone!
