On average experience will come out on top but there is also a element of luck a few years ago I was fishing with plugs and spinners in Luce bay a guy turned up with his son asked for advice he had just brought him a rod and reel I give him a spinner told him to cast to the side of a reef he was straight into a decent bass I caught nil lol
Totally agree...on the bass thing I would say to anyone who wants to try and catch one to read the theory then go out and try!
I was spinning for mackerel and pollack near Kirkcudbright in the middle of the day a few years back - ending up taking a nice bass...Was that skill? Absolutely not - but I had to have a line in the water to have half a chance!
Ooh a new vid!
