Just to get some feed back on your thoughts of a can bar on the pier,selling all your favourite tipple's,while fishing for the mackey.which on these warm sunny days can work up a thirst.

your forgeting something, why not stock heavy duty bin bags for them to hump all the maccy off the pier that there just going to dump anyway
and a nice line of brightly coloured snide shell suits

The only thing wrong with this is that it would be illegal.

Roker sea front is an alcohol free area, apart from the local pubs.
It is illegal to drink from cans or bottles or to have any alcoholic beverages along roker pier or roker sea front.

Although, judging by the amount of people getting p****d on Roker pier every week, you wouldn't think so, but then again our local police force never did have the testicle fortitude to do anything about it.
