  • Kayak setup

Hi lads. I was debating a small inshore boat or kayak set up for next year as I'm moving pretty close to the coast and have decided on the kayak. Mainly due to the cost, storage and a free workout to save me going to the gym!

I've read quite a lot about fishing kayaks and to be honest some of it has left me a bit confused. I know there are a few dedicated kayak forums and I will post the same question on there but I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a decent yak and set up? Cheers

My advice , buy second hand a renowned make at least 13ft and whole set up if possible as the rest of gear can cost more than the yak . This is right time of year to buy and there are plenty bargains at moment . You have right idea going on dedicated yak forums, facebook has yak fishing forums you can access with yaks for sale on them . .......good luck you wont regret it , I will try and post my recent trip on here.

There's a cracking t13 with extras in Stockton for £450. Buy an ocean second they can be had for good money this time of year. Join anglers afloat great forum also northeast kayak fisherman on Facebook good bargains to be had.
