YOU DONT NEED A PUMP....
ive kept raworm, whiteworm, lug, blacks etc for 20 years without the need for a pump.
if you use a pump small worms will ball around the airstone causing them to tangle and reduce the action of the stone.
you can easily keep ragworm in your fridge for months, without a pump
i use trays that can be stacked. put about 20 worms in a tray a 1in of sea water.
even the temp doesnt matter as long as its cool and constant.
clean your worms after digging, put them in the trays avoiding and damaged worms, put 1in of fresh water over them. obviously the size of the worms will decide how many you put in each tray.
smaller maddies ...... around 50.
medium ........... 20
large ........... 10
huge snakes .......... 4
check each day for coloured water or damaged worms.
if the water stays clear, you only need to change the water every 2 days. you will feel that the water feels sticky as the toxins build up.
for ragworm the water doesnt need to be pre chilled.
the day before you intend to use them, lay them in trays of newspaper to dry them out a bit.
take them in a bucket in layers of paper, 6 - 10 worms per layer. any left after your session will go back in water.
