  • spinning off rock marks

all being well ill be out next weds and i will be taking the spinning rod and some spinners and bubble floats.

i am not asking for much advice as i think its probably more fun to just go and try some places myself.

i am going to try the rocks around crab hill and up to seaton sluice or may take a drive up to newton and either try along the rocks on the path to beadnell. there looks like some deeper water marks as well as some shallower close in so i am hoping for some pollock and maybe even a bass.

i know when bait fishing crab hill and onwards are considered low water marks, is this any different when spinning from the rocks along this stretch or am i better off at highwater.

    same question about beadnell?

    thanks.

be prepared to move about, and watch for the gulls feeding on the bait fish
        bass will be underneath
I had been watching the baitfish shoal off cresswell for a couple of weeks and this weekend was the first time it had come close enough in to cast over it

put the bass in a deep rock pool to recover before releasing them and they were spitting out small sprats about 1" long, the were stuffed with them

good luck and leave some fish for me at the weekend!
cant wait to get back up the coast
