foaming at the mouth Just been fishing my match on shields pier was doing ok with 3 size fish then whilst peeling a crab I heard my rod scrape along the wall I tried to grab it but missed by a snot I looked down to see a little grey inflateable about 10yrds off the pier towing my rod I shouted at the bloke who did stop and kindly checked his prop before going off rang the port of tyne but nothing they can do I hope the driver of the boat sees this post as if I find you I will be making you eat through a straw nearly 500 quid of gear in the drink peed off isn't the word even thinkin of packing sea fishing in and taking up shooting again .

        bad news mate
happened to me couple of weeks ago was fishing the tyne opposite international paints when a small fishing boat with anglers came right over when a lad was reeling in it was deliberate the way he suddenly veered to his right towards the barriers trying to cut the guys line what made it obvious was there was no one else on the river he was that close i could touched the boat with my rod! they were all smilling and laughing too call themselves anglers pity i was just setting up cause i would have put a lead straight through the skippers window
my sympatys mate its not on is it

That's a real bummer mate! But that's the reason I never take my eyes off the river when fishing anywhere along the tyne - little boats & things can appear from nowhere & I don't care if people think I'm being antisocial if they come over for a chat! Even when peeling a crab my eyes are going up & down the river as well as watching my rod - seems that as soon as you get distracted a boat will come along....consequences for me have been no more than a few sliced lines though did come close once....lesson learned!

Hopefully you might be able to claim on insurance?

pity you still weren't shooting you could of had some target practice, some people have no brains and don't care what they do

sometimes people need a dam good shake or more
when i fished in spain you had snorklers getting hooked up by float fishermen and people walking in the way of people casting and getting hurt even though it was all signed up
not using your brain at all!

Whilst i have great sympathy with Kingcod Deano,i have sat for 15mins wondering wether to reply to your response.i am saddened to see that someone with your experience would make such a comment and highlight the fact that some people have no brains and dont care what they say
