    Hi all.

    Here is the full results of this years 68th Annual Open Shore Competiton, held on the 13th November, fishing from 10am till 3pm.

    A total of 264 people, 250 seniors and 14 juniors, fished this years open competition, with 64 anglers returning to the weigh in at the New Crown with their catch.


    1st Place, this years champion, with the heaviest round fish, a cod weighing 7.29lbs went to Craig Rundle, winning him £500 and the Alderman Barbour Trophy.


    2nd Place, the person with the heaviest bag of fish, with a total bag weight of 14.18lbs, went to Paul Mcintyre, winning him £250.


    This years Lady Champion, with a bag weight of 8.21lbs, goes to Gail Oliver, winning her £50 and the Lady Champion's Trophy.


    This years Junior Champion, with a bag weight of 2.04lb, goes to James Turnbull, winning him a Rod & Reel and the Junior Trophy.


    The heaviest flatfish winner, with a flounder of 1.34lb, goes to Gail Oliver, winning her £50.


    Next up is the optional sweeps, which pays out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Heaviest Fish and Heaviest Bags.


    Optional Sweeps Heaviest Fish Winners:


    1st - Craig Rundle with a Cod of 7.29lbs, winning £125

    2nd - Patrick Kerrigan with a Codling of 5.4lbs, winning £70

    3rd - Gavin Head with a Codling of 5.05lb, winning £55


    Optional Sweeps Heaviest Bag Winners:


    1st - Paul Mcintyre with a bag of 14.18lbs, winning £125

    2nd - Tony Anderson with a bag of 9.31lb, winning £70

    3rd - Garry Appleton with a bag of 9.27lbs, winning £55


    The winner of the sealed weigh, who receives £20 cash, with a weight of 1.9lb, goes to Chris Stonehouse.
