    Anyone got any recommendations ?

I don't get on with bins but I like to carry something like this with me when I'm out so that I can spy out what the water's doing further up the coast, work out whether I'm staring at a seal or a buoy or figure out how that angler got past the fence on Berwick pier, only to later find that it was the fence itself and not an angler I was looking at...

My eyesight is pants for various reasons and even with corrective glasses I find using bins almost impossible; I tend to close one eye to give me some clarity, so if I'm using bins one-eyed I may as well gear up for one-eyed use, as it were, and save some pocket space.

I tried a spare Leupold rifle scope a couple of weeks ago and was pleased with the results once I got the eye relief right, so now I need to look at scaling that down to something pocket sized.

So, any monocular users out there ?

If so, anything you think I ought to be looking t (no pun intended )

I don't want to spend fortunes but I don't mind throwing some money at this to get the right result.
