Needing some advice

Hi all, me and my friend are needing abit help for fishing in northumberland. We havent been fishing for about 10 years now, and we decided to go out and get a pair of 12 ft beach casters. We are needing adive on were to fish in the area at this time of year, we fished the wansbeck for a few hours the other day to try out the rods and get a feel for fishing again, caught a few flatties but all undersized so put them back. We are wanting areas that arent to rocky and somewere you dont need to cast to far as we can only cast about 80-100 yards atm. Any advice on were to fish, and what the best bates for that area are would be gratefully appreciated.

i have a car so i am able to travel, i know that newbiggin next to me is good for fishing off the rocks but i dont want to navigate round the rocks with all my gear and for casting until i get the hang of it properly again, still having to many casts that are going straight up or to the side, also my knots are pretty useless don't want to bother with rotten bottems until i manage to tie them good enough. I've also heard that amble can be quite good but was not given anymore information as wereabouts in amble, also whens it best to fish, when the tides coming in or going out also what the best bait for that area is

you couls always try druridge bay mate using worm, macky, bluey, squid and peeler crab if you can get any, also sand eels

welcome 2 nesa fishfondler, there`s loads of good marks all along the beach from sandy bay, cambois side, all along to cambois ramp, get out and try, al see you there, good luck m8.

As already said cambois beach is a good mark try the ramp at high tide u only need a short cast rag is my bait of choice there are plenty of good size flatties and the odd bass or try just behind the houses at north blyth at low tide or try blyth pier great for just starting back up good look mate

If your not sure, of where to fish, why not join a local angling club. Sure to be lots of friendly helpfull advice available.

Hi m8t it sounds like you need to stick to piers untill you get used to rocky areas beaches or whatever because on piers you dont need to cast that far as 30 to 40 yds is enough to catch fish okay.
