  • Going up in line strength! which one?

    hi all
as the title says im thinking of moving up in mainline strength from my normal 15lb bs but im a bit stuck on choices
iknow most of you use 30lb up over for general sea fishing so was hoping you could point me to the best choice out there but iknow thats the 6500 dollar question wots the best because everyone is different
any help on this would be great cause its doing my heed in
the line would be for general fishing on the tyne nothing special
    thanks all

i use a few different lines,my 2 favourite lines are sakuma night crystal and sufix tritanium, good quality but if im fishing rough ground i would use stren(blood red),all 30lb test, you could get away with 25lb stren because its a good strong line,i find the other 2 dont hold up aswell over rocky/rough ground.hope this helps

I wouldnt bother changing strength lines if its only for the tyne 15lb is by far strong enough providing you use a shockleader for castin 10lb per every ounce of weight i only use 20lb of the piers (diawatournament) only seith line to heavier if im fishing very rough ground to say 30lb straight through

For the Tyne 15lb suffix tritanium is fine. Better to use a thinner diameter line in the Tyne as a thick line will catch more of the tide when there is a pull
