  • formula bearings

Hello all. I was wondering if any of you have used/had anything to do with these ? I'm thinking on buying some for an old slosh20 I have.

Any info is much appreciated, many thanks.

Ive had the formula bearings from eBay for 3 of my 525's and a set of abec 9 rated for a 6500 casting reel all spot on no probs I always clean them out with lighter fluid then oil them with rocket fuel advise red for slosh's the abec rating is a level of manufacturing tolerance abec 1 being the worst and 9 being best but I find abec 3's fine for fishing hope this helps.

depends which reel bannana, not so sure about the slosh

the new 525 seems to handle the higher rated ones, abec 9 for example with yellow rocket fuel. doest take long to dry out like.

look at moescops, he prefers old fashioned steels.

i had my best cast with steels and loads of red rocket fuel and nee mags

I got the full set david mate. Deans as far as I'm aware the formula bearing are standard steels ? I might be wrong as I'm not into casting.
