  • Gary Armstrong...thanks

A couple of weeks ago Gary contacted Amble SAC saying he had some tackle to give to the junior members of the club as he has packed in sea fishing.

When Les and me met him to get the gear, we were astonished at the amount of tackle he was giving us !

Two large boxes full of tackle, a seat box/conversion full of tackle, about half a dozen assorted rods and a couple of rod rests.

The tackle has now been sorted out, and we are giving most of the larger items to the junior section of the club, each member should get either a reel, a rod, or a rest + a couple of spools of line apiece.
The boat tackle has been sold, and the money will be put towards a few more bits of tackle for the juniors.

Although Gary wouldn't take anything for his tackle, the club will be making a donation to the RNLI on his behalf.

Just goes to show, there are still some top people involved in our sport.

Many many thanks Gary, from all at Amble SAC, we wish you every success in your "fluff chucking"!!!
