    any one been fishing from saltburn to brid in the last week ?
    went to runswick last week but just whiteys ,then fished seal goiht and the same result ,talked to a couple of lads who\'d been to boulby and they had only 2 mops ,

      just read your post
      i fished whitby west pier last monday had a decent session 3 small codling,2 small coalies,8 whitties 4 to take home
      enjoyed the day 3-8pm
      if you read the gazzettte from this saturday, lists the catches from a match that was fished on sunday.
      fished hartlepool pier this morning one whittie.

        hi sean ,glad there\'s someone out there !!!.same here mate ,we ended up on the pier as the tides were quite small and the wind wasn\'t much good ,we ended up with 1 codling and a whiting ,but our baits were stripped in seconds by crabs and they were quite big buggers !!
        they managed to clean off a whole squid and mussel bait in under a couple of minuites.i tried floating beads but it didnt really cure the problem .Im sure that if the crabs were not so thick in numbers everyone would have caught a lot more fish .nevermind eh theres always next time !!!

          Saltburn has been fishing well, plenty of bass off the beach, whiteys off the pier, not many cod about though!!!
