Hi all
going fishing down the tyne tomorrow but was wondering with the weed being bad should i take my 4-6oz or 4-8oz rod??
would normally take them both but may have to walk it so traveling light!
personal preference IMO. I dont fish that far up but with the tides being a kanny size it most likely will still be ripping in and oot even that far up?????

was 2weeks ago mate! was pulling clumps of weed off my line especialy at the leader knot and at the hooks! still caught a couple mind
mite go with my heavier rod just incase cause the other was giving as a swap
and i aint fished with it yet so dont want to regret taking a lighter rod if theres plenty weed around
4-6oz or 6-8oz that's the casting weight the rod is rated at,that doesn't represent the action or stiffness of a rod matey, take them both see which one you prefer

As redeyecod says take em both mate, that way you get to try out the light rod without worrying, happy days, good luck.
