  • anyone out tonight

    alright lads,

    anyone heading out tonight then?

where heading to beach for couple hours and then the river tyne for the flood, hopefully the big seas we have had this week will have pushed some decent fish in. got an army of bait, lug, rag, fresh mussel, frozen and fresh peeler runnydown and bluey. lol cant have enough bait and a nice selection.

fingers crossed and hoping to see a few good reports over next few days.

thanks for that m8, rough seas and big tides will be bringing the weed in i suppose.

        Tonight Matthew, I will be....

I'm going up to the caravan this evening, so I may pop up to some of the rock marks just north of Berwick and see what's what.

Rag, mussel, squid, bluey and mackerel at the ready - surely there's a fish out there with my name on it ?

The cliffs behind North Road Industrial Estate keep winking at me...

Luck to all who venture out with rod and line

Yeah its bad mate, every retrieve was stopped at the leader knot with a big clump followed by a mass of it stuck to hooks and weight, nightmare.

did you fish ebb or flood m8, i find two hours either side of high/low water on a big tide at wider parts of the river help with weed and crabs, i find most of the weed gets washed in/out after the first two hours of either high or low. people may think different

I fished the whole flood upto high tide, low water was about 9.15ish and it was alright until 11ish, then I thought I had decent fish as my rod went over. It was a 3lber of seaweed haha the deception aye.
