    NIGHT TIME OPEN SHORE COMPETITION
    SATURDAY 29TH OCTOBER 2016
    FISHING FROM 7 PM TO 11 PM
    COMPETITION HQ. GENERAL HAVELOCK EAST SLEEKBURN NE227AT
    ENTRY: £12.00 all-in
    1st Prize – HEAVIEST BAG £250 GUARANTEED
    HEAVIEST FISH £100
    PLUS APPROXIMATELY 25 PRIZES + RAFFLE
    PENN POINTS
    Tickets in shops and from the Havelock from 5pm to 6pm
    BOUNDARIES: TYNEMOUTH PIER TO AMBLE PIER
    ALL PIERS AND RIVERS ARE EXCLUDED
    FISHING: BLYTH PIER IS ALLOWED INTO THE RIVER OR SEA
    WEIGH-IN: GENERAL HAVELOCK EAST SLEEKBURN

    NIGHT TIME OPEN COMPETITION RULES

    Competition commences at 7.00: pm and finishes at 11.00: pm
    The weigh-in is from 11.30.pm and closes at 12m at the General Havelock NE227AT
    Anyone that is late back even if there is still people in the queue will not be able to weigh their fish in

    1. The minimum size of a fish to be weighed in shall be:
    Pouting . Whiting 28cm, Haddock, Pollack, Hake 30cm.Codling, Coalfish, Turbot. 35cm. Bass 41cm 1 PER ANGLER. all flat fish 28cm All other fish not less than 28.cm

    2. The following fish are not eligible to be weighed in:
    Mackerel, Rays Bream, Dragonets, Lumpsucker Common eel Sea Scorpion, Blennies, 3 & 5 Bearded Rocklin’s , and all types of shell fish

    3. Fishing during the 90 minutes prior to starting time is a breach of rules.
    Competitors must obtain their weighing cards before commencing to fish.

    4. Each competitor will be allowed to use one rod at any one time with not more than 2 hooks, but they may have a spare rod assembled without any terminal tackle. Spare pre-baited traces are allowed.

    5. Each competitor must PERSONALLY hand in their fish to the appointed official, together with completed weigh-in card (including competitors address). Tackle, hooks etc. to be removed before handing in the fish.

    6. All competitors must cast for themselves but may receive the help of any person to gaff, drop net or lift their fish, but must hook and play their own fish to the waters edge.

    7. Any objections must be lodged with the officials during weigh-in period or they will not be entertained.
    Successful competitors will receive their prizes immediately following the weigh-in formalities.

    8. In all matters relating to the “Open Competition” the Organising Committees decision will be final any competitor committing a breach of the rules will be disqualified.

    ALL COMPETITORS MUST PICK OWN PRIZE UP AT THE PRESENTATION.

    BOUNDARIES – Tynemouth Pier in the south to Amble Pier in the North. ALL River and Harbour are all excluded. Fishing from Blyth pier is permitted casting into the river or the sea.
