  • elastic cotten and pennel hook set up

this realy does my head how many times have you reeled in and found on a pennel rig the hooks fould up in the cotton and if using bait clips cotton sometimes tangled on bait clip.maybe answer is to use 1 big hook instead of pennel rig ie i used to use 7/0 aberdeens for crab.again if not using bait clips when you cast out the bait ends up buisness end of hook that is wth single hook but pennel set up can imagine hooks getting tangled in cotton.
been using gold-zak elatic cotton now for a while its thin and clings to the bait so my cotton is great best i have ever used and strongly recommend.
did you know panel pins comes in diff sizes ?

Can't remember the last time I ended up with bait elastic tangled on a clip mate. I use the fine stuff and I don't think I have ever had an issue with it. Tend not to go bigger than a 3/0 in winter but often fish it in a pennel wig a decent sized bait.... Can't really help as to why yours in tangling

Simple answer to that problem.....Impact shields...The best aerodynamic bait clip and the bait elastic won,t get caught in it.
