      I've had a few of them this week the English Channel is full of them. Caught one today 28cm biggest Poor Cod so far. Had a few pouting and loads of whiting and doggies too but no cod and none of todays target species, sole. Plenty time yet though.

            • Ugly fish like awas fishing the walk way few month back and a lad few yards up from me cort a small codling bout 2 lb it was fat as out at the front and the tail was all squashed up looked as if sum 1 had bin using it as a pogo stick ha funny looking thing like

                There's still two months to go mate, plenty of time to get your species count up. Lobsterwells got most of his over a couple of weeks Come and join in.

                  Am on tag mate can't get out for nyt sessions only time s can go out house is 6am - 11pm but al giv it a go next year for defo pal plus got a 7 week old bairn so gotta do my bit aswell lol

                        • Well lads there are only three weeks left. The Species Hunt ends at midnight December 31st. It looks like it is in the bag for Lobsterwells but you never know what might turn up yet. I will do this again next year if there is enough interest. Everyone up for it?

                            Lure caught 2012 - Mackerel, Pollock, Coley, Launce, Weaver
                            Species for 2013 so far - Dab, Codling, Eelpout, Coley, Lobster, SS Sea Scorpion
                            Lure caught 2013 -

                            Take what you need and leave the rest to breed

                              • i'll be in for next year as well, only started fishing again after a 20year break so happy with 4th in the table
                                will be trying harder next year!

                                Species 2014 - Coalfish, Codling, Dab, Lobster, Weaver, LS Sea Scorpion, Flounder, Barracuda (Gran Canaria)
                                Species 2013 - Flounder, Whiting, Codling, Coalfish, pollack, dab, eel, Mackeral, Launce, eel pout, blenny, LS Sea Scorpion, Butterfish, Thin Lipped Mullet, thick Lipped Mullet, Gilt Head Bream, Black Bream, Yet to be identified Mediterainian Wrasse, Bass
