    Hi

I do not know the ins and outs of this story, but as this chap is accused of, bringing previously caught flatties to a competition, do you not find the below an irony too far!?

Runner-up at the match was Benfleet angler Dion Macfayden with nine flounders for 4lb 5oz.

Haha, surely after spending so long in his rucksack, the flatties must have been off by the time of this match?

    Something definitely smells fishy !!

Forums such as this should be welcome for peoples opinions and a place for disscusion (Should be a mod me!). Be careful chaps not to go to far or you'll end up in the Sunday sun!

just completed a piece for this weekedns Sunday Sun which may give a reason why Sea Angler/Penn did not strip him of his 2011 title

After reading this i did a quick google search on dion mcfayden

it seems he actually pulled his son into this deception but looks like he was digging himself a bigger hole

Well done to the stewards that day.

because legal action is taking place I will not be able to make any comment in the Sunday Sun and I suggest we refrain from making anymore comment here

                    Cheats always a cheat

Reading your posts puts shame on anglers who do this and to me they should be banned from any composition or club anywhere and when ever clubs put on compositions there should be scrutineers watching whats going on and yes in that case all anglers could do it but to me i would be ashamed even just to take that chance.Yes its GREED-GREED-GREED and if i ever see anyone doing this i would report it immediatly .I clap my hands to the person who brought this up as it definatly wants looking into.Bravo:

in my opinion people have a right to know who are cheating, especially in something as big as the penn sea league. as people have said it all boils down to greed and you are only cheating yourself with regards to being crowned the winner.

sea angler need to get their act together on this, if they dont i think they will lose a lot of readers respect or what respect they have left for it as its now a poor read as well.
                      Regards Nicky.

Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

Howay man, I've just been reading a great article about catching spring run codling around newbiggin.

I'm hoping to bag up at the Beacons next month.

if you mean cease trading then that's just daft,do you really hope people lose their jobs? why? because you don't like it? if you don't like it don't read it, just don't wish for people to lose their jobs / income etc, that' s just foolish
