I'm with you mate. I think daytime TV must have been particularly bad today. Sounds nuts to me

This should mean that when the baits are defrosted they maintain a much firmer flesh than if you slow freeze them in a domestic freezer.

Anyone played around with this at all ?

I figured I'd ask before goofing around with something that could make my fingers drop off...

a used 2 work in a chemical plant, what your talking about is not nice stuff, be very careful m8. alreet 4 the locks on bank safe`s though. !

forgot to mention side fillets do freeze quicker in the freezer waste time hoying full mackerel in takes a lot longer probs why they go mushy when defrosted

All joking aside, this facility is in a bioengineering lab with fully shielded 'hands off' access.

I wouldn't consider it if there was a risk involved for the sake of a few baits

I've already got permission so no sneaking required.

Just as well - I don't much fancy squelching around with macky fillets slopping around in my boots. Or anywhere else for that matter...

here is what i do ... the fresh macky fillets are are given a salt coating then wrapped in newspaper. then i change the newspaper then remove the paper and clingfilm the mackerel . stays firm not mushy after months in the freezer.

Sorry it's a little off topic but.... does anyone use the pipe freeze spray when out fishing, to freeze their bait once it's on the hook. I'm thinking about trying it, so i'd like to see if it's worth it before i buy a can of this stuff.
